Notice to Parents from Federal Court about the Opportunity to Object to the Release of Educational Data

A U.S. District Court has ordered that 2013-2014 school-year records from the Ohio Department of Education be turned over to Disability Rights Ohio as part of an ongoing lawsuit.  Under the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act, families of students whose data will be released must be notified and given the opportunity to object.  Click here for more information.

Luckey Elementary Vehicle Career Day

 

 

Luckey 2nd Graders learn about business by spreading kindness.

Mrs. Helm's 2nd grade class is "Going Into Business"
The purpose of this project was to fulfill the social studies Economic Academic Content Standard in a fun way.
The students made  " Second Grade Mix", prepared a grocery list, advertised, devised a work schedule, prepared the product and sold the product  to Luckey students and staff.
After the final sale had been made, the students's profits of $227.00 were used for a good deed and donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

This year during the reception high school art students and art club members dressed up as famous works of art and art styles. The middle school art students from 4th period & 8th grade art classes created interactive works of art which allowed visitors to become part of the artwork.   Elementary students from Luckey & Pemberville had dynamic artwork displayed that was inspired by different cultures and famous artists.

Eastwood Local Schools has earned an Excellent or Excellent with Distinction rating since 2007. Overall, the district's Performance Index ranks with the best in Northwest Ohio, and the district performance exceeds its similar district grouping as assigned by the Ohio Department of Education.

Students at Eastwood have access to a strong preparatory curriculum that enables them to move to life after high school. Eastwood High School students enjoy numerous math and science courses that qualify for dual credit through a partnership with the University of Findlay. Students also access to Post-Secondary Options classes through Bowling Green State University and Owens Community College. Finally, Eastwood students have the chance to attend Penta Career Center which is one of the most state of the art Joint Vocational Schools in Ohio.
