Eastwood grad Jessica Schulte, now a graduate student in public health at the University of Toledo, traveled to a remote village in Guatamala doing research to earn her global health certificate. She spent a week in a medically underserved community and her story is amazing. Jessica's experience and research work has been featured in this video issue of the UToledo Closeup prograam.
We will have an early release Friday, May 27, the last day of the 2015-16 school year. The Middle School and High School will dismiss at 1:15pm and the elementary buildings at 2:30pm.

Online registration for the Fall 2016 Season runs June 1-15. Registration is open to children who are between the ages of 3 and 13 by July 31, 2016. Fall season games will run from August 29th through October 16th with tournaments to follow for U-8 and above. Register at eastwoodsoccer.org – click on Registration to begin the process. Eastwood Local Schools has earned an Excellent or Excellent with Distinction rating since 2007. Overall, the district's Performance Index ranks with the best in Northwest Ohio, and the district performance exceeds its similar district grouping as assigned by the Ohio Department of Education.
Students at Eastwood have access to a strong preparatory curriculum that enables them to move to life after high school. Eastwood High School students enjoy numerous math and science courses that qualify for dual credit through a partnership with the University of Findlay. Students also access to Post-Secondary Options classes through Bowling Green State University and Owens Community College. Finally, Eastwood students have the chance to attend Penta Career Center which is one of the most state of the art Joint Vocational Schools in Ohio.
