Cheerleaders "Jump Over Cancer"

The Eastwood and Bowling Green High School and Middle School cheerleaders came together to battle cancer by participating in the 9th annual "Jump Over Cancer" activity to raise money to be donated to the American Cancer Society. During halftime of the varsity boys basketball game between Eastwood and Bowling Green held January 6th, the cheerleaders were "jumping over cancer" by seeing how many cheerleading jumps they could perform in 1 minute. Based upon the pledges received and other activities that occurred, the group raised $7,600 for the American Cancer Society which brings their 9-year total to more than $53,200. Congratulations to everyone who participated - and our sincerest appreciation to everyone who donated for this worthwhile cause.
