Academic Awards Program

The Eastwood High School Academic Awards Program will be held on Thursday, May 10th @ 7:00 PM in the High School Auditorium. This program is a terrific way to take time to recognize students for their academic accolades from the 2017/18 school year. A formal invitation has been sent to eligible students (and families) for this annual event. We look forward to a full house as we take time to recognize these amazing students and hope to see everyone in attendance.

Tri-M to Attend Ohio Arts Day

On April 6th, we welcomed State Representative Theresa Gavarone and Bill Behrendt (Executive Director from the Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation) for a tour of our building and the many facets of art education that occurs. Musical performances from small instrumental chamber ensembles and the EHS Jazz Ensemble as well as a visit to view students in action at pottery wheels in the art class and viewing many art projects on display were held. In addition, the EHS Tri-M delegation who will be attending the 2018 Ohio Arts Day in Columbus received some leadership training for this upcoming educational experience.

We wish Tri-M the best of luck on their upcoming visit and appreciate everyone within the arts department at Eastwood HS for their continued efforts.

EHS Takes Time to Recognize Veterans

On April 11th, several EHS students took time to recognize the military careers of several Veterans during a luncheon at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Pemberville. During the ceremony, 10 Veterans were recognized and presented with Quilts of Valor from the Quilting Eagles. The program was a wonderful way to bring the storied military careers of these individuals to the forefront and yet another way for our students to help remember the importance of the military.

We appreciate the Quilting Eagles for allowing us to participate in this annual program and look forward to our continued efforts to recognize all military personnel.
