EHS Key Club Advisor, Mr. Nathan Howard, shares how this project began: "The mission of the Key Club is student-led service, which involves service to our world, nation, community, and school. Last year the club officers and I were talking about how we could better serve our community and school, and the idea of a legacy project came up. From there, it was an easy decision regarding which group we wanted to honor because there is no group that deserves to have their legacy remembered more than our veterans.
In a way, the memorial wall serves two main purposes: to show our gratitude for the Eastwood graduates who sacrificed for something greater than themselves, and to give our students a constant reminder of the number of Americans who paid the price for our freedoms."
A special thank you to Mr. Howard and the members of the EHS Key Club for this amazing gift.
We invite the Eastwood community to stop by the high school to view the wall and help us remember those who have proudly served our country.
