All-State Orchestra Honors

Cameron was selected by audition from applicants throughout the state. This prestigious ensemble performed on Saturday, January 31 at the OMEA Professional Conference held in the Columbus Convention Center under the direction of Helen Cha-Pyo, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts (New Jersey).

Cameron has performed in the Toledo Symphony Youth Orchestra, Wright State University Honors Band, University of Toledo Honors Band, OMEA District 1 Honors Band (3 years), OMEA Northwest Region Honors Orchestra (2 years) and is currently in the Bowling Green State University Bassoon Ensemble, Double Reed Choir, Clarinet Choir and University Band, as well as first year music classes. Throughout high school, Cameron has earned an impressive 13 Superior OMEA ratings on solo woodwind instruments at Solo & Ensemble in addition to numerous ensembles. At Eastwood, he is President of Tri-M Music Honor Society, Reporter for FFA, in NHS, a Band Squad and Section Leader, Band Librarian, and a member of Jazz Band and Musical Pit Orchestra. Cameron began studying bassoon and other woodwinds with Mr. Howard Williams, retired Woodmore High School Director of Bands. He is currently a student of Mikaela Kroyer of BGSU where he plans to major in bassoon performance this fall.
